Curriculum Associates
To support their data-driven educational toolset i-Ready, Curriculum Associates enlisted us to create a number of characters and their world, along with story-based animated episodes and related content. The K-through-5 program features an array of instructional videos and games that can identify student needs and accommodate a variety of learning styles and abilities.
Collaborating with CA’s story team, we conceived Plory and Yoop, an unlikely alien duo who consider it their mission to learn about earth, particularly its Math and Vocabulary. Accompanied by their trusty pet Snargg, Plory and Yoop’s wacky adventures expose kids to curricular content without losing sight of the fun.
Built on intensive research, the personalized i-Ready program comprises hours of linear storytelling, animated lessons and interactive widgets. These components guide learners through the curriculum at a pace set by each student’s achievement. Primal Screen produced over a hundred episodes, and hundreds of interactive elements to prepare students for lesson reviews and ongoing progress assessments.
Popular with educators and caregivers alike, the program has taught more than five million students and continues to be a trusted resource in the classroom and for homeschool. In addition it’s been lauded with recent top awards from Technical Horizons in Education, the American Consortium for Equity in Education, EdTech Digest and many more.
