Astro Team Alpha

In one special episode of Sesame Street, Elmo, Cookie Monster and Abby play an imagined videogame, Astro Team Alpha, led by a cartoon version of real-life astronaut, Dr. Mae Jemison. We animated the lunar “game” and advised on the live-action shoot of the real Muppets for picture-in-picture inserts. In addition, we built user interface elements and designed backgrounds, vehicles and all characters. Totaling more than seven minutes, the game portion of the episode engages kids with smart play and fantastical situations that only animation makes possible.
